Notes

With the support from the European Union's Socrates/Erasmus financial aid program, seven universities from six European countries developed this curriculum project over a three-year period from 2000 to 2003. Since 2005 it is being taught in 15 European universities. Students are explicitly encouraged to study modules at one of the program's partner universities: "Al. l. Cuza" Iasi, RO; West University Timisoara, RO; University of Lillehammer, NO; Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, PT; Universidade do Porto, PT; Universidade do Minho, Braga, PT; Bolton University, Bolton, UK; Karlstads universitet, Karlstad, SE; Eötvös Lorand University of Sciences, Budapest, HU; University of Debrecen, HU; Tallinn Pedagogical University, Tallinn, EE; Zaporizhzhya State University, Zaporizhzhya, UA; Hogeschool von Arnhem en Nijmegen, Nijmegen, NL. So-called "Resource Bank Books" are written for all available modules. We understand the books to be a construction which, on the one hand, comprise a sketching overview of relevant, determining existing theories on a complex issue while also providing a basis for common knowledge and understanding for all teachers and students in the Master's program. On the other hand, each module band contains a compilation of texts and materials on a specific subject matter which, among other aspects, in order to develop ethically sound visions and practical strategies for overcoming social injustice and exclusion in Europe, provide examples of investigations from diverse national and European perspectives.
