The
continuing education program lasts 24 months. 60 credit points (ECTS) must be
earned in order to successfully complete the program. This corresponds to an
academic input of 1,850 educational hours (1,500 hours independent learning,
300 hours on-campus learning and 50 hours seminar).

With the
support from the European Union's Socrates/Erasmus financial aid program, seven
universities from six European countries developed this curriculum project over
a three-year period from 2000 to 2003. Since 2005 it is being taught in 15
European universities. Students are explicitly encouraged to study modules at
one of the program's partner universities: "Al. l. Cuza" Iasi, RO;
West University Timisoara, RO; University of Lillehammer, NO; Universidade
Técnica de Lisboa, PT; Universidade do Porto, PT; Universidade do Minho, Braga,
PT; Bolton University, Bolton, UK; Karlstads universitet, Karlstad, SE; Eötvös
Lorand University of Sciences, Budapest, HU; University of Debrecen, HU;
Tallinn Pedagogical University, Tallinn, EE; Zaporizhzhya State University,
Zaporizhzhya, UA; Hogeschool von Arnhem en Nijmegen, Nijmegen, NL. So-called
"Resource Bank Books" are written for all available modules. We
understand the books to be a construction which, on the one hand, comprise a
sketching overview of relevant, determining existing theories on a complex
issue while also providing a basis for common knowledge and understanding for
all teachers and students in the Master's program. On the other hand, each
module band contains a compilation of texts and materials on a specific subject
matter which, among other aspects, in order to develop ethically sound visions
and practical strategies for overcoming social injustice and exclusion in
