ECTS Representatives

 

The following contains details of the ECTS representatives for every course / each department. If you are planning a study-related placement abroad, please contact the ECTS representative responsible for you before you leave. This will make it easier for you to have the credits that you achieve abroad recognised.

Overview of ECTS representatives at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences

The functions of the ECTS representatives in relation to the foreign study placements of German students are as follows:

  • they provide advice on suitable host universities and courses;
  • where necessary they carry out a selection / redistribution of the Erasmus applications received and confirm the nomination on the application form;
  • they offer advice on the choice of course in view of subsequent recognition;
  • they check and approve the Learning Agreement drawn up by the student;
  • they receive the Transcript of Records issued by the host university for the student and initiate the recognition process.

The functions of the ECTS representatives in relation to foreign students are as follows:

  • they advise students with regard to course selection before and at the beginning of their placement. This includes questions such as: which subjects are offered in my field? What exactly is taught in these subjects? Which requirements do I need to have met to take the course(s)? Are my German language skills adequate for a particular subject?;
  • they check and approve the Learning Agreement drawn up by the student;
  • they coordinate the return of certificates for completed examinations as the basis for drawing up the Transcript of Records;
  • they act as a central point of contact for all academic concerns, problems etc. or refer students to other relevant contacts.
